Our house is full of exhaustion this week. Marcus has started his summer session for uni and has a major assignment due every week between now and mid-Feb [he's completely bonkers and doing 4 subjects at a time so he can complete the course in 2 years instead of the intended 3]. Things are incredibly busy for me at my day job and I'm working late nights and during the weekend and of course blogging, emails and sourcing are filling the remaining waking hours- good thing I REALLY love the people and the work I do. And then there is life stuff. Housework, repainting, never ending renovations, family, friends and things like markets, movies and shopping that are the nice things that fit in around the really big chunks of work and study. Poor Ferdinand is experiencing warm weather for the first time [he was still a puppy dog last summer] and the heat has worn him out and he is sleeping around the clock.

I'm in the process of repainting our bedroom the most marvelous shade of gray. It's deep and rich and it's a delight to wake up to. I regret not doing it MONTHS ago when we first agreed to do it. And it actually makes the room look bigger- bonus! Hopefully next week I'll have some good old before and after pictures to show. For now, here are some of my favorite bedrooms that have been stored away in
my Tumblr for future inspiration.
